Which CBD oil strength to choose?

Strength is the share of CBD in the oil: 10 % means 100 mg of CBD in every millilitre, so a 10 ml bottle holds 1000 mg. A dropper gives about 20 drops per millilitre, which puts one drop of a 10 % oil at about 5 mg. Divide the milligrams by the millilitres, and the price by the milligrams, and CBD oils from bottles of different sizes compare like for like.

Full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate?

Full spectrum CBD oil keeps the other compounds of the hemp extract, including traces of THC. Broad spectrum removes the THC and keeps the rest; isolate is purified CBD on its own. The THC figure that counts is the one measured in the batch report, not the word on the front of the bottle.

Hemp seed oil is not CBD oil

Hemp seed oil is pressed from the seeds and contains almost no CBD: it is a food oil. A CBD oil names its hemp extract and states its CBD in milligrams. If a bottle gives no milligrams of CBD, it is not a CBD oil, whatever the price.

What does 10 % mean on a CBD oil?

It means 100 mg of CBD in each millilitre. A 10 ml bottle at 10 % holds 1000 mg in total; the same bottle at 20 % holds 2000 mg.

How many drops are in a 10 ml bottle of CBD oil?

About 200. Droppers release roughly 20 drops per millilitre, so a 10 ml bottle gives around 200 drops and a 30 ml bottle around 600; the label states the exact figure.

Does full spectrum CBD oil contain THC?

Yes, in traces. Full spectrum keeps the plant's other compounds, so its batch report shows a small measured THC value. Broad spectrum and isolate oils are made to keep THC below the detection limit of the test.

Can CBD oil show up on a drug test?
