CBD paste

CBD paste is the hemp extract itself, thick and concentrated, packed in a syringe with marked divisions. It holds far more CBD per gram than an oil holds per millilitre.

How strong is CBD paste?

Paste strength is given as a percentage or in mg per gram: CBD paste 50 % means 500 mg of CBD in one gram. That is five times the CBD of a 10 % oil per unit, which is why paste comes in small syringes of a few grams. Compare the price of a CBD paste per milligram of CBD, not per gram.

CBD paste or CBD oil?

Oil is extract diluted in a carrier oil and measured in drops. Paste is the extract without dilution, measured by the divisions on the syringe. Full spectrum CBD paste suits those who want the whole extract in the smallest volume; oil is easier to divide into small amounts.

CBD paste: questions and answers

What is CBD paste?

Hemp extract that has not been diluted in a carrier oil: thick, dark and concentrated. It is usually full spectrum and comes in a syringe of a few grams.

What does 50 % mean on a CBD paste?

500 mg of CBD in each gram of paste. A 5 g syringe at 50 % holds 2500 mg in total; the label states it.

Does CBD paste contain THC?

Full spectrum paste keeps the plant's compounds, including traces of THC. The measured value is in the batch report of the product.

Why is CBD paste dark and bitter?

Because it keeps the whole extract: plant waxes, chlorophyll and other compounds give the colour and the taste. It is a sign of an unrefined extract, not of spoilage.

How should I store CBD paste?

In the closed syringe, in a cool, dark place and out of reach of children. In the cold the paste hardens; warming the syringe in your hand softens it again.
